Dominica competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, from 23rd July to 8 August 2021. This was Dominica’s sixth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. Due to the global Covid-19 pandemic, the Games were postponed from 2020 to 2021.

The Dominican team featured two track and field athletes at the Games: Thea LaFond (triple jump) and Dennick Luke (800m). This was Thea’s 2nd consecutive Olympic Games.

Thea Lafond was Dominica’s flag bearer.

Whilst neither athlete secured a medal, Thea Lafond made history by becoming the first Dominican to reach the finals of an Olympic event.
